Collaged anchor

heres the collage of the anchor. the chain pieces were all added one by one. I sort of loved the agony of doing this!!!  There are tiny beach huts running up and down the middle (from a little watercolour i did), Again all imagery is original .

Card project finished!

After a hard slog, card project now finished! yipee. Really pleased with final outcomes, and had some encouraging feedback.  They look loads better in the flesh but heres a sample . Each card can be hung or put in the stand.

Another card day

Gonna work on the love card range again today. Trying to do an anchor - collaging at the moment. Will post pic later. Am thinking of captions - although not sure where these will go. YOU ARE MY LOVE ANCHOR. YOU ANCHOR ME. YOUR MY ANCHOR. dunno??!!!

card project continued - beach hut

Hello! am still working on card project. As usual there is a massive rock block in my head and then at the end the ideas, that are all there bursting to come out, are actually allowed out by my funny brain! Am doing a 'love' range for the cards - consisting of love heart frame with a miniture hanging part suspended inside. Yesterday i was working on a beach hut. Started off as an ink drawing, photoshoped, collaged and then rescanned in miniture.  This is the original scan.  Might then use the image for some more gift wrap. not sure. ps you cant really see well enough, but all the pattern / dots / drawing/ flowers etc are all original work and not collaged from other paper etc. The little flowers are from sozes little bag again. (hi soz. best sis) xx

card project - sugary beach huts wrapping paper

Hello! Been doing some work on our current Card project. Done some wrapping paper type stuff using various scanned in drawings/paintings/sewn stuff. My colleague used the word 'sugary' for my recent work. fitting i think! 

I also did this one the other day which i think i prefer. Its a bit calmer. 

hmmm its looking bit wonky, and missed flags off top huts.

blue and red cat design

Vintage laura ashley dress, with my blue and red cat design on. The pattern below is a rough repeat I created from ink pen drawing which i subsequently collaged, and then photoshoped.  It needs a bit of tidying, and balancing (too much white in places??) - but i really like it.  Did this for my uni indigo project, as sketch book work, but might take it further now and get it printed up.

fairy cakes

hello!  been making cakes for friends 21st birthday party. really want to eat them. Made a mixture of chocolate and plain, and buttericing and glace icing. Haven't made cakes for ages. enjoyed doing it. Gonna put some more textile / drawingy / printy stuff up soon.  x
